“If you happen to be camping at either of the two campsites near the Heights Hotel then you need to visit the Crag Bar. When I say it is quirky I mean it in the best way possible. A lovely little public bar. Most reasonable prices of food and drink I can think of in recent years. It’s a fully vegetarian menu and although we ate at our tent the food looks incredible with every one we chatted to saying it was gorgeous food. It’s a great sat there chatting to other holiday makers. Barry behind the bar is a super friendly gentleman and we will be back to visit again.”

“Stayed here as a family of 3 with an 8 year old, lovely and quiet place. Short and easy drive into Keswick town and Seathwaite for Scafell Pike. The food was great with large portions, and the bar was open until 11pm with a good selection of drinks. The owner and his son are very friendly and happy to help, the owner even waved us off at 7am on a Sunday morning before our 7 hour drive home. Recommended”

“Went in the Crag Bar as were staying next door. Very nice owner, Kitsch inside but in a good way. Nice few ales and didn't push us out come closing time. Would have 5 stars if there was a few more beers/lager to choose from but it is tiny and obvs independent and it was only £5 a pint which is cheap for the area. Good find. Beer garden has nice views too.”
